Hi,frnds this is Arinansu from B.P.P.I.M.T (Kolkata)
u probably having another post frm our college by Kaveri,she has done a mistake-the test was on 19th march not april...
Any way, u wil first have to register ur names in the TCS site .....the password will be provided by ur kolg.....then u will get a number & note down that number,that is reg no..After that kolg will sent u a online test login id take this 2 numbers noted before going to exam.Also the form of TCS duly filled in will be required if u clear the apti.There will be all seperate online Q Papers for individuals.........
We were given the time of 9:30...But the seminer started from 11.It was all about TCS...their aims,projects,plans,industries........so anyone who hav not gone thr com website,shld listen it carefully....at the time of interview u may face some Q like:What are the projects undertaken by TCS????
After that ,
the online test............frankly speaking ....... the test was very hard...it has 3 parts
1.English
2.Q. Apti
3.Reasoning
No negetive marks.All the 3 parts were tough...in english ----10 synonyms(u can get some common like us if u solve some freshers world),10 antonyms(u will never ever get more than 2 commons)...so be prepared.
After that 2 big passages----and related Q..........The Q's r analytical rather than straight.........Total 40 Qs..
in the 2nd part u will be having mathematicsQ ....... starting from cls 10 to Btech maths.....also there was Q in my paper of geography that if the time of some place is given then find out the time of another(related to altitute).
The 3rd part u can practice from Barrons (if u r lucky then u can get any one out of the 2 common like some of my frinds).....2 reasonings & related Q...my passages were tough more than my expectation & i didn't got any common...
That was all ......one part will come after another after the alloted time .........bt u may proceed 2 the next part if u want.....we thought that max of 40 will pass.....but it was not.......
within 2 hours the result was out...............98 passed apti.....i was selected .......
then 22 panels were created..........we immegiately were taken to the panels.........
there were 1 panelist in each panels..they were helpful...

P:ok(wathing the TCS form ) arinansu u r having quite good marks in madhyamik nd HS nd after that ur sem result is also good....but why ur 1st sem marks are so low???

me: new environment,new conditions,every one talking in english ..........so 1 yr went to adopt myself

me:as i hv adaptability ...........i have adapted myself in this environment
P:So ur are from a bengali background......dont u have a relocation problem???

P:then he gave me a prog to write(i/p of centigrate temperature nd print the farenhite temperature)

me:in small comp also we hv bonds.....but when it is about TCS i m ready for any type of bonds.......

P:thats a good way.........also y r having good analytical &prog.. skills rather than theory..........but u need 2 improve ur strong base subjects like u said DBMS....so improve it.........dont be upset

the result went out around 8pm...............66 out of 98 were selected.............nd i was selected
