Test Location : Canara Eng. College, Mangalore
Hey guys,
I answered the pool campus recruitment drive by Accenture hosted at Canara Engineering College,
Mangalore on the 13-14th Feb, 2010.
The recruitment was carried on for 2 days as the crowd was very large(nearly 800).
We were broken down into 3 batches as and when u come for the registration. I was in the 2nd batch and we started
off with the aptitude screening written test at around 11.30. Test was conducted by Merit-trac. Test was for 1 hour
followed by essay writing of 5 min. It consisted of 3 sets, A)English B)General Appti C)Logical Reasoning. Nothing to
worry of this test. It was very simple and most of the questions could be found on the papers uploaded in freshersworld
itself. they check ur speed. Practice the sample paper from this site. it really helps.
Essay was on "Global Warming" (5 min).
In another 30 min they gave us the results of the test and all shortlisted were called in for the group discussion.
Group discussion was conducted by and HR. She was really good. She asked us to choose a topic of our choice.
lots came up with ideas on politics , sports controversies,etc. She didnt want to get too political or controversial.
so she took up a topic on "T-20 vs Test cricket"(simple and interesting). 10 min to talk.
the way to get thru this round is to come up with new points every time u get a chance to speak.
do not repeat any points or negate someones point. I jus spoke one point. But it was totally different.
8 from this group moved further.
Next we were called to a hall and asked to fill in a details form and submit copies of all certificates.
We were asked to wait for the next round (i.e tech or HR) and this wait was really long.
At 8 pm we were told that these rounds would be conducted the next day and 7.30 am
Next day the interviews started at 8 .
We attended the next round which was HR. The HR was really nice and encouraging.
Questions asked by her were :
1) Tell me a funny incident taken place due to ur name?----(i have a pretty long name)
2) What are the group activities u have done in college or school?? How did u interact with ur group mates??
3) What hav u been doin all this while since u have completed ur graduation in july 2009?
4) Are u comfortable if ur relocated to any center of Accenture in India??
5) Any Question u like to ask me??
This lasted for around 10 min
All shortlisted from this round were taken in for the Technical round.
Technical round was easy but there were catches here and thr.
Some questions asked:
1) What are the different concepts of oops??
2) What is polymorphism??
3) Different types of Polymorphism??
4) Def. virtual functions??
5) Debug the errors from one c++ prog??(he had written a code snippet)
6) SQL queries??(he had written some tables for an SQL)
7) Which latest technology u have heard about??
8) Which tech u would like to work in if u joined Accenture??
this all lasted for around 15 min.
We were finally made to sit in a room to await the final result. Wait was pretty long.
They finally called all the final shortlisted candidates to the HR room.
A little wait and then the moment of truth.
The HR visited us and finally told us that we were chosen to join ACCENTURE.
We were really happy and proud. She gave us a brief of the company and all the details v need to take
care on joining the company.
finally i have a job and ready to start my career.

Do not miss such pool campus interviews. They are easy to get through but only the wait sometimes make tooo tired.
Nevertheless all the trouble is forgettable if u have an offer at the end of the day.
14th Feb 2010 was finally a remember able day for me. lol :)
