This is Aveek from Asansol Engineering College...
I am from the electrical engg.
I went to attend the campus recruitment drive held on 8th & 9th of June 2010 at Heritage Institute of Technology by the software giant Accenture.
There were 23 colleges taking part in it & more than 3000 thousand students took part in it.
I don't know how many they took..but it must be above 400.
There were 4 rounds as usual..
First:
Aptitude Round
There were three parts in the paper: English, Quatitative Aptitude & Logical Reasoning.
Total 55 questions were there & the time was 1 hr.
The English portion comprised of simple grammer, prepositions like
_whole floor _ the hotel was booked _ the cricket team.
Could not remember much...Sorry!
Two passages were given along with 5 question for each of them.
The passages were from computer networks mostly..
I got a passage from SSL encription...
The next one from indexed & non-indexed data storage....
Next we have to write an essay on a topic.
Minimum word limit was 100...
Our topic was "India's Performance in T-20 World Cup 2010"
Time was just 5 minutes.
Second:
GD round
The GD round was easy...
There was 16 of us...
Our topic was "Hollywood Vs Bollywood"
Well its easy...14 students cleared from our group...
Third:
Technical Interview..
This was a critical round..
Many things were asked...
The questions were:
Tell me about Yourself?
What is your final year project??
Explain your project in detail?
What are the subjects in final sem?
What are business ethics?
What is Critical path Method(CPM) in project management??
We had business ethics & project management in the final semester as our subjects.
Next he gave me a sum of CPM..
I did it with confidence..
Fourth:
HR Interview:
This was easy..
If your performance is good through out then this will be a cake-walk..
First the interviewer (a good looking mam!) asked me:
How is it going on?
Next,
Why Accenture??
I told its a huge company having global presence & it is among the fortune 500 companies.
What is Fortune 500??
Couldn't answer this....
Next,
Where do you want to be placed?
Bangalore, Pune, Madras, Trivandram.
Then she told...
Thank You...
Wish You all the Best..
And finally after a few minutes..
They told that I was selected...
So friends please have confidence & believe in GOD...
