Capgemini Placement Paper 21 June 2010 Bangalore Institute of Technology

Test Date : 21 June 2010
Test Location : Bangalore Institute of Technology

Hi Friends,
I am sharing the experience I had with the CapGemini recruitment process.
The question papers are already available online. Ofcourse those are not the only questions, but they are sufficient to clear the sectional cut-off.
There are actually 2 sets of paper. I guess one set is really tough i.e questions are not the same as from the previous papers.
Those who had got that tough set of paper hardly cleared the first round. Make sure you have learnt the formula of arithmetic progression, hectare to Km
conversion, complex number problems, stock and share problems, Geometry(sin, cos and tan) i.e finding the length of a side, given the angle and one side.
Few questions that I remember are-
1. "The sum of 20 terms in an arithmetic progression is equal to the sum of 30 terms. What is the sum of 50 terms?"
2. A rectangular field is 1 hectare in area. How many rounds a person has to make if he wants to walk 2 kms?
a) 2 b) 5 c) 10 d) 20
3. There was a problem on determinant whose value was given as zero.

Logical reasoning was easy. You can refer the previous questions available.
Only 35 out of 215 cleared the first round.

The second round was a Group Discussion. 4 groups were made consisting of 9 members. 10 mins will be given for a group discussion.
Make sure you find your time to express your views. Finally, 1 person may be asked to give conclusion. That conclusion should be very crispy.
Some of the topics for group discussion were:
1) Should group discussion be a part of the recruitment process or not?
2) Should mobile phones be allowed on the college campus or not?
3) Is Bangalore fit to be called a metropolitan city?

7 people were eliminated in the group discussion round.

Last was the Technical cum HR round. Make sure you have good knowledge about the subjects that you have mentioned in your resume/CV.
For me basic questions were asked in C++, OS, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Software Testing.
Finally HR questions were asked such as "What do you feel about team work?", "What have you heard about CapGemini?"...etc

21 people got selected after the final round.

All the very best!!!
